The wax model

Before making the bronze hilt pieces, I need to make a model out of wax for a prototype for the casting moulds. First a rough sketch was needed for proper dimensions, and the hilt design is based on the best features of a dozen Scottish arming swords depicted on various grave slabs of Scottish knights. None of these swords have ever been found, so this is being recreated completely from scratch. I have started sawing the pieces out in wax but still need to carve them to shape and weld/melt the cross guard pieces together.
